Liz A. Dorn is a Senior Research Project Consultant at Arizona State University’s Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory, where she supports the Strategic Partnerships & Networks team in advancing multilateral strategies for climate resilience, sustainable development, and gender equity. She leads policy research and program management for select initiatives such as the WE Empower UN SDG Challenge. She also serves as a Grant Evaluator for The Denver Foundation, allocating over $625K to equity-centered nonprofits that strengthen community engagement and leadership in Colorado.
Previously, Liz was a Senior Program Manager, Asia at the International Republican Institute (IRI), conducting in-depth political and policy analysis to advance democracy and human rights in the Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. At IRI, she was responsible for directing a $26.8M federal grant portfolio spanning six programs and managing the strategic allocation of $5.2M in subgrants. She also designed and executed over 35 capacity-building initiatives, knowledge exchanges, and reporting tours at the East-West Center, empowering more than 795 political and policy leaders, journalists, and entrepreneurs across the U.S., Indo-Pacific, and Northern Africa. Earlier experiences include serving as a congressional staffer to the Chairman of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, an elected vice chair of communications for a state political party, and an accountant in the private sector.
Liz co-authored a chapter in Women and Leadership Around the World and holds degrees from the University of California at San Diego and the University of Colorado Boulder.
