Leah Lizarondo

Vice President, Global Network, Vital Voices Global Partnership

Leah Lizarondo is a strategic leader with over 20 years of experience in economic policy, social enterprise, global leadership, and technology. She currently serves as Vice President of Global Network at Vital Voices Global Partnership and is the founder of Food Rescue Hero—a logistics platform operating in 25+ cities that has redirected over 175 million pounds of surplus food to people experiencing food insecurity, significantly reducing food waste and its carbon impact.

Leah’s work has earned global recognition, including the WE Empower UN SDG Challenge award and Vital Voices’ Global Leadership Award. Her career spans brand management at Colgate-Palmolive and strategic roles in early-stage tech ventures. She is a strategic leader who excels at translating complex ideas into compelling strategies and mobilizing mass movements to drive lasting social change.

Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavors, Leah is a member of the Global Leadership team at Ashoka, focusing on inclusive economic policy. Her work has been featured in CNN, NPR, The Today Show, The Washington Post, and Stanford Social Innovation Review. She has been honored with Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas Award and named to the Grist 50 list of emerging climate leaders. She is a Rockefeller Foundation/Acumen Fellow and holds a graduate degree in Public Policy & Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, where she is Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
