Julia Drake

Program Coordinator, Global Network, Vital Voices Global Partnership

Julia Drake is a Program Coordinator on the Global Network and Regional Engagement team at Vital Voices Global Partnership. In this role, they are responsible for key programmatic functions, including supporting the organization’s Global Mentoring Walks and the Honoree Program. Julia also serves as a primary point of contact for communication and outreach with network leaders, helping to foster a strong and engaged community.

Their professional work is grounded in a strong academic and advocacy background. They hold a B.S. in International Business with minors in Leadership Studies and French from the University of Denver. During their time as an undergraduate, Julia was a Co-Project Manager of a Community Change Initiative, which partnered with Denver Special Olympics and The Rise School of Denver to promote the value of a neurodiverse workplace. Their passion for cross-cultural communication was further developed during a cultural immersion in France, where they were awarded the Etienne Gros Prize for Academic Excellence in Literature.

While interning with The Borgen Project, Julia lobbied congressional leaders to prioritize women’s rights in U.S. foreign policy, particularly on behalf of bills such as the Keeping Girls in School Act and the Girls LEAD Act, along with COVID equity relief and extreme poverty alleviation legislation. Julia is also a sexual and gender-based violence hotline advocate for The Blue Bench in Denver.
