Urbanization, population growth, land degradation, conflict and migration, to name a few, are drivers of water insecurity exacerbated by climate change. Better understanding the human dimensions of global environmental change and interaction with the water cycle water will aid in the development of good water governance that promotes healthy societies through equitable access to clean and safe water.
