The Arizona Greening Events Guide for Schools<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Arizona Greening Events Guide for Schools is a collaborative project of the\u00a0City of Phoenix<\/a>, Arizona Department of Education and ASU Sustainable Cities Network\u2019s (SCN) Steering Committee. The Guide was created to help student event planners host sustainable school events. The Guide provides students with helpful ideas and sustainability actions ranging from marketing and fundraising to waste management, measurement and recognition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n

Our goal is to help students host more green events<\/span> that produce less waste, increase sustainability knowledge<\/span> and lower the event\u2019s environmental impact.<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the Guide\u2019s use, students will green their events by taking on actions in five major categories that focus on reducing environmental impacts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
