Founded by Mormon colonists in 1883, it spans 138 square miles with nearly 520,000 residents. Known for its cultural heritage and robust economy, Mesa boasts museums, parks, and outdoor recreation in the Sonoran Desert. The city prioritizes sustainability and innovation, earning global recognition by winning the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Innovation Award and was recognized as a Champion of Sustainability by SRP in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
