We also consider the economic, political, social and environmental ramifications that will arise with the availability of an affordable air capture technology. It is our long-term goal to make the CNCE the intellectual leader in this new field of sustainable energy infrastructure design critical to achieving a carbon negative energy economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Klaus Lackner is the director of Center for Negative Carbon Emissions and professor at the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment of the Ira A.
