Regional Resilence Innovation Incubator
Cultivating School Heat Readiness in the Southwest
The HeatReady™ Schools Southwest Regional Resilience Innovation Incubator is an NSF-funded initiative advancing practical, community-informed strategies to protect children from the negative effects of extreme heat in schools. Long-term, our vision is to expand these efforts across the Southwest United States. Through collaboration with schools and school districts in Phoenix and Los Angeles, we aim to co-develop relevant, context-specific, scalable heat-readiness solutions and safe activity guidelines that strengthen school health, learning and resilience.
