These datasets cover phenomena that range from urban bird communities to nitrogen deposition to people\u2019s perceptions of environmental problems. The publication catalog provides access to a list of these publications with links to publication abstracts in most cases. More general inquiries can be made to CAP LTER management staff or to <a href=\"mailto:caplter.outrearch@asu.edu\">caplter.outrearch@asu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n<div class=\"wp-bootstrap-blocks-container container mb-2\">\n\t\n<div class=\"wp-bootstrap-blocks-row row\">\n\t\n\n<div class=\"col-12 col-md-8\">\n\t\t\t\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"highlight-gold\">Communicating our research<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CAP LTER student researchers are encouraged to communicate their research to different audiences through a variety of ways beyond the thesis or dissertation requirements of their degree programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most common mode of communication is through a poster presentation at CAP LTER\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/globalfutures.asu.edu\/caplter\/cap-lter-symposia\/\">annual poster symposium<\/a>. Students also are active participants in scientific and scholarly meetings throughout the year, including the Ecological Society of America\u2019s annual meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students communicate their research to a wider research community through papers in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in books. First authorship and co-authorship of papers and chapters are both very common.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CAP LTER\u2019s collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/cazca.org\/\">Central Arizona Conservation Alliance<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcdowellsonoran.org\/cool_timeline\/mcdowell-sonoran-field-institute\">McDowell Sonoran Conservancy\u2019s Field Institute<\/a> has underlined the need to communicate effectively beyond the scientific community. This has led to a new CAP LTER initiative in science communication of research conducted in mountain parks.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"col-12
